Finally settled on a Web-site.

Imagine a world that was of your own creation, a place of your own design and vision. Resources, elements, and the inhabitants of your world are all randomly generated, but your own to mold into your creation. This is the world of Minecraft as created by Markus Persson (Notch). A simplistic style of cubes of various types all able to be crafted into other resources and items depending on your needs as a player. The one video that has truly sparked the phenomena this game has become is below.
  • My website will be a means of showing many the various works of other players as well as showing off a bit of what I myself have created.
  • Will also go step-by-step instructions to various aspects of the game.

Web-page ideas

This is a difficult one for me as my views/ideas/interests are quite varied. Some of the ideas I have so far though are:

Media Diet by Adam Crowe

  • Music studies of the ideas of genre and great lyricists.
  • Movies and film in which it takes a few viewings to really understand. Sometimes new and different messages are found.
  • Fandom site in which many different interests are discussed and taken into account. Ranging between music, film, animation, books and any other sort of media.

Communication

Three days, Five different courses, and one idea.

Alright so being new to the communications department I'm pretty much going in with many high expectations, but for the most part I'm just stretching my wings and seeing what I can learn. From what I hear the staff of this department is pretty top notch so I hope to learn a great deal.

Expectations:
  • Learn methods and technologies that previously were unknown or unthought of.
  • Become fluent in the means of networking and understanding the processes needed to excel in the department, as well as the profession after.
  • Have a great time learning from not only the knowledgable staff but as well as my peers.
